Rushden's Jubilee Gardens- 1-3 June 2002

Six village gardens opened to the public for the first three days of the celebrations and the public certainly came, over six hundred of them. Chris and Lyndsay Jones say they found it totally exhausting, particularly all the questions that they couldn't answer! Gardens covered a wide variety of themes. (Someone even came out of one clutching a bantam's egg) From clematis at the Eales' garden and those staggeringly beautiful iris at Ann
Bradley's through to the more modern approach of Marianne and Paul, there was something to encourage everyone to get out and start gardening.Indeed, they were so diverse that some of us never managed to see them all even over three days. Never mind, there's always the next Jubilee1
