MINUTES' HIGHLIGHTS 10th September 2003


Highlights of meeting on Wed 10th September 2003

1. The problems relating to the recent burst water main at Southern Green were discussed. Several other problems were noted. If anyone has problems please contact Three Valleys and keep a copy of any correspondence. The repair the the main drain has been postponed.

2. An application has been made to increase the number of vehicle movements at Cumberlow Green Farm.

3. P.C. Paul Marina has carried out a speed check at Mill End.

5. The Parish Council is waiting for a reply from the County Council about the erosion of roadsides due to traffic.

6. Steve Jarvis is trying to arrange a meeting with Highways to discuss the effect of the building of the new Baldock bypass on the villages.

7. Questionnaires from North Herts Council to consider their vision of the future are available from the Parish Council.

8. There will be an extraordinary meeting to discuss the application for the conversion of the barn at Wood End to a dwelling. Date to be arranged.

9. The next meeting is on Mon 24th November at Rushden Village Hall at 8pm.


Note: It was a long but interesting meeting and very well chaired. I've filled in my questionnaire but it's interesting that the rural community has far less input than the towns. Such is life!
