Rushden and Wallington Parish Council

MINUTES' HIGHLIGHTS 10th February 2003


The following matters were discussed:

 

Blocked ditches in Mill End and Southern Green had caused problems in the recent floods.

 

Work will commence in the Spring on a new water main through Rushden which will take a number of weeks to complete. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained. Ordinary traffic may experience some delays.

 

Reported smells from the composting operation at Cumberlow Green are to be investigated further.

 

There is a forthcoming planning application for the partial conversion of a barn near Wood Farm into a dwelling house for Martin Dingemans and family.

 

Parish Council elections will be held in May this year.

 

Sylvia Cotterill acted as Clerk to the Parish Council for the last time at this meeting after 20 years in the role. She was thanked for all her help over the years and presented with a gift voucher.

 

Next Meetings:

 

There will be a joint Parish Assembly for both Rushden and Wallington which will be held at Rushden Village Hall on Tuesday 15 April.

 

The Rushden & Wallington Parish Council AGM will be held on 13 May 2003 at 8pm in Rushden Village Hall.
