Rushden and Wallington Parish Council

MINUTES' HIGHLIGHTS 6th April 2004

Highlights of meeting on Wed 6th April 2004 8.30pm Rushden Village Hall.

The meeting began with a presentation to Mrs Jean Chalk for all the hard work she has done over nearly 30 years of service on the Parish Council, following her retirement at the last meeting.

Jeans Chalk’s retirement has left a vacant seat for Rushden which will be contested by Chris Whitton and Linda Hill; the date of the election will be set by North Herts District Council (NHDC) and will probably take place in June.

Following the Wallington Parish Assembly earlier the same evening, Steve Mabbs and Steve Miller will be nominated to NHDC for co-option onto Rushden & Wallington Parish Council

There will be a village clean-up on Sunday 9th May starting at 11am at the Village Hall. No children please.

Martin Dingeman is making another application for the barn conversion at Wood End.

Cumberlow Green Composting Site will be applying for an increase in size.

The next meeting is the AGM on Tues 11th May at 8pm at Rushden Village Hall.
