CONTACTING THE NEW HERTS POLICE COMMISSIONER

Following his election as the first Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire on Friday, David Lloyd announced some of the ways that the public will be able to contact him, and to make their voices heard.

These plans include a new website, www.hertscommissioner.org, which is now live and ready for partner agencies to link to via their own sites. This should replace any links to the Herts Police Authority site, which will shortly close.

The Commissioner can also be contacted by phone on 01992 556600 and by email at commissioner@herts.pnn.police.uk. Written contact should be sent to Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire, FREEPOST ANG6281, Hertford, SG13 8YS.

Work is underway to find new ways to get in touch with the Commissioner using social media such as Twitter and Facebook.  David will also be blogging about his plans and activities as well as setting up public engagement groups that can help develop policy.

David Lloyd starts in post on Thursday 22nd November and he will serve a three and a half year term of office.

David said: “I want to be the Commissioner for all the people of Hertfordshire. Running an open-access office is part of that; I want to make it easy for people to get in touch. Although over 122,000 votes were cast in this county, I recognise that the role has yet to fully capture the interests of our communities.  I hope that in the months to come I will be able to repay the faith of all those who voted for me – and I will work hard to earn the trust of those who did not.”

If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
