A Floral Tribute to Penelope Rieu

Given Penelope Rieu’s love of Rushden Church and her long standing role in helping to decorate the church, in particular the pulpit, it seems only fitting that we should put on record the floral decoration that graced the church for the Service of Thanksgiving held for Penelope on Wednesday 12th November. 

A team of long standing friends of Penelope were involved, led by Eva Whitton, including Dulcie Laidlaw, Chris Jones, JoAnne Garrett, Janet Dingemans and Mary Roberts.

The service was full of memories of a wonderful Rushden personality who will be sorely missed.  CW
