Many thanks to everyone who made the 2014 season so enjoyable.

Particular mention for the fantastic work that David Green does preparing the wicket and to Robert Wornham for cutting the outfield.

Bowled

Hitting the Ball or the Keeper

Also thank you to everyone who has made teas this season or come to watch and support the cricket (on some occasions we have had large crowds, although this may be more to do with the company and the catering than the cricket!)  Also a big thank you to Keith at the Moon and Stars for staying open to refresh the sportsmen after the matches.

Powerful Bowling Action

The Sandon Strollers Cricket Club only continue thanks to the voluntary efforts of so many people.

Total Concentration

The Strollers played 16 games in 2014.  Of these, four were inter club games which were hugely enjoyable – the U40’s vs O40’s played on Fathers’ Day, the Charles Hunt Memorial Game, the Six a Side Tournament and the President’s Game.

In the Gloves

Of the other matches played, the Strollers won four so there is room for improvement on the field!!

However the aim of Sunday cricket is to have a friendly enjoyable game with as many people participating as possible.  Overall, this was achieved.

Unusual Bowling Action

One of the great successes of this season was that five local Colts played in the Sunday team with the adults on a regular basis.

Also a big welcome to all new players this season.
