HTT CONFERENCE MESSENGER APP

HTT Conference Messenger is software to allow conference delegates to communicate with the people on the stage by sending text messages. The messages are sent from a smart phone and received by a computer on the stage.

Each delegate in the audience would download the app on to their phone from:

They would then connect to a WiFi router connected to a computer on the stage. The delegates can then use the app to send a txt message to the computer on the stage via a local area network.

The benefit over conventional text messages is:

• There is no charge for the message.

• The message arrives at the receiving computer in milliseconds.

• The message is displayed on the computer screen allowing the person on stage to read it without having to open it.

• The computer output can be displayed via a video projector to a large screen.

To run this you clearly need software for the stage computer. This can be obtained by clicking the download button below.

• Download the zip file by clicking the button.

• Unzip the folder. Double click setup.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.

• BEFORE YOU RUN THE PROGRAM MAKE SURE THAT THE FIREWALL ON YOUR COMPUTER IS DISABLED. The program will not work otherwise. Also your computer must be connected to a WiFi router. It doesn’t need to be connected to the internet.

• Double click the HTT icon on your desktop to run the program.

• If any delegate wants to send a message to the computer they will need to have downloaded the “HTT Conference Messenger” app as described above.

• This app is currently only available for Android smart phones.

• The delegates will need to connect their phones to the Wifi router that the computer is using. To send a message they will need to type it and press the send button on the phone display. Any message sent will be immediately displayed on the computer screen. Once the computer display is full further messages can be seen by scrolling down the screen.

• To close the program click the diagonal cross on the top right of the screen.
